Graduation ceremonies got underway at Beau Chene High School for the class of 2007 around 6:00pm Friday.
Included in that group are two students that were told earlier this week they would not be allowed to take part in the ceremony for violating school policy.
A state district judge signed an injunction which allows students Stephen Boxie and Candice Broussard to take part in the ceremony. School officials say they plan on following the judge's orders.
Around 2:00pm Friday, students, parents, picked up tickets for the event.
Broussard and Boxie were originally told they would not be allowed to walk because they both missed one of two graduation rehearsals. They claim unusual circumstances forced them to miss the second practice.
Beau Chene principal Keith James refused an on camera interview, but did release a statement saying his decision was based on school policy. He also says students and parents signed a form which laid out the rules and consequences for failing to follow those rules.
