Marsha Williamson, RN
Marsha has been a Registered Nurse since 1978 and has an additional degree in Health Management. She has worked in the GI field since 1990 and began working at Saints Streets Endoscopy in 2004 as Nurse Manager, becoming Nurse Administrator in 2009. The last two years have been a busy and exciting time for the center, beginning with building plans and the completion of construction, resulting in a new facility and a new name – Lafayette General Endoscopy Center. Marsha enjoys playing a part in the growth and advances at the center – the technology and services available to patients at LGEC are second to none.
Myia Johnson, RHIA
Business Office Manager
Myia graduated from UL – Lafayette with a BS Degree in Health Information Management in 2003. She began working for the Gastroenterology Clinic of Acadiana as a Patient Account Manger; began working for the Endoscopy Center in 2005 as an Administrative Assistant; and became Business Office Manager in 2007. She had been able to utilize her computer skills and enthusiasm for the technology in the planning and implementation of the facility's Electronic Medical Record conversion.
All employees at LGEC are specialty trained in GI services, in addition to the general skills required for their positions. This training includes Administrative Assistants and Patient Care Staff. Frequent inservices and educational training takes place to keep the staff updated on the latest technology and techniques in the GI field. The entire staff works as a team to provide the highest quality of care to the patients we serve.
