BIG NEWS!  FLASh, Friends of Lafayette Animal Shelter, has been awarded a large grant from Best Friends Animal Society, to spay and neuter community (feral) cats.  The grant will allow for 200 feral cats to be spayed/neutered at a reduced rate of $15 per cat, regardless of gender.  The fee will include the spay/neuter procedure, a rabies vaccination, ivermectin, penicillin, and an ear tip to identify the cat as having been altered.

PROJECT CAT NIP kicks off February 1, 2011.

All procedures will be done at SpayNation, 1640 North Bertrand in Lafayette, and are by appointment only-no “walk-ins.”   To schedule an appointment or find more information on the program, call SpayNation at 337-264-1088.

PLEASE NOTE:  All cats must arrive at SpayNation in a trap.  SpayNation has a limited number of traps available to borrow at a refundable $50 per trap deposit.  Also, this program is limited to feral cats only.
