Oil Found in Gulf

The National Wildlife Federation says an oil slick found earlier this week off the Plaquemines Parish coast is fresh south Louisiana crude and not oil from the BP spill.

Plaquemines Parish president Billy Nungesser said earlier this week that he thought the slick spotted near Venice was from the Deepwater Horizon Spill.

But, tests conducted at LSU show that the oil is local crude which hadn't been in the Gulf for very long before it was collected.
