The new Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital campus has officially opened for business.
66 patients were transported from the old Saint Mary Street location to the new state-of-the-art facility on Ambassador Caffery Saturday morning. The effort was of course carefully practiced and extremely organized. Officials say they were pleased with how smooth the transition went. And, patients seem to be happy with their new home as well.
“You're living in here like it's your home, the other one feels stir crazy after a while.” said Harold Lavergne a patient at Lourdes.
It took over one hundred personnel to make the move possible Saturday. Hospital officials wanted to thank everybody involved, especially the community.
