Eric Abshire was arrested at his Youngsville home and charged with a number of offenses including two counts of first degree murder. Youngsville police assisted in the capture of Eric Abshire.

“It's a great thing to accomplish something like this with another agency. It just shows the type of law enforcement that we have in our area and that Youngsville Police Department will continue to assist any agency that needs our assistance”

Authorities say they believe Abshire went to the home, caused a fight then shot both victims with a handgun.
