Dozens of people showed up at the Acadiana Center for the Arts open house to give their input on where they want the Hub City to be in the next twenty years. It's all part of the comprehensive plan.
Over the past four months residents in the Hub City have been giving their input on where they want Lafayette to be in the future. Tuesday's focus of the plan was on the downtown area and what it needs in order to keep up and thrive with the hubs growing population.
This part of the plan is called the Downtown Strategic Framework Plan. One of the main concerns of those who attended Tuesday's open house was how to attract more people to the downtown area during daylight hours throughout the week. Another open house is planned for this fall.
