Saint Landry Superintendent Search

When will the next Saint Landry superintendent be chosen? Five candidates have applied all coming from different backgrounds in education.

William Duplechain is the current principal at Port Barre High. Edward Brown works in Saint Landry Parish as the supervisor of Child Welfare and Attendance. Daniel Rawls, is a retired superintendent from Point Coupee Parish.

Charles Michel is the current supervisor of Special Education in Lafourche Parish. Joseph Cassimere is the current interim superintendent.

Now the school board will review the applications and start the interview process September 18th. The board is scheduled to select a superintendent September 26th and in office by October.
