Cajuns’ Bob Marlin gets contract extension

Ragin Cajun Head Basketball Coach Bob Marlin will be in Lafayette, for at least another 5 years. Sports Director George Faust has confirmed, Marlin has a new 5 year deal, with better incentives, and more money.

Marlin told News 10 Sports, “the deal was done on a handshake back in May.  President Savoie, and Athletic Director Scott Farmer got it approved by the board, last night.”  

Cajun Beat Writer, Tim Buckley reports Marlin gets a  $125,000 annual pay raise to $400,000 per year, with new buyout options!   

Marlin is in his 3rd season has compiled a 30-31 record.  The team is coming off a win over North Texas, and will next face McNeese on Saturday.
