The United States Army says another one of its generals is facing criminal prosecution in connection with allegations of sexual misconduct that includes forcible sodomy.
Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Sinclair, who has five combat tours under his belt, is accused of carrying on elicit affairs, mistreating subordinates and trying to impede the investigation by deleting nudes photos and emails.
The 27 year veteran is the fifth army general to either be accused of or investigated for possible misconduct in recent months.
The allegations are Sinclair committed these unlawful acts while in Afghanistan, Iraq and Germany. The eight charges include forcible sodomy and violation of General Order Number 1…..Possession of alcohol in a war zone.
If convicted on all charges Gen. Sinclair could be sentenced to life in prison.
