Big Changes for Louisiana High School Football

Sweeping changes were made today for high school football. Starting next season, public and private schools listed as “select admission” will compete separately from traditional public schools in football playoffs. In a vote of 206 to 119, the Louisiana High School Athletic Association, which consists of high school principals, approved the split at today's meeting. Public and private schools will still play against one another in the regular season, but when it ends they'll go into separate classifications in the playoffs.
