Operation Bead Collection

LARC has started its operation bead collection for this Mardi Gras season. People in Acadiana are now able to donate any beads or Mardi Gras items they collect to any Goodwill in Acadiana. The beads will be delivered back to LARC where those with developmental disabilities sort out and repackage the beads for re-sale. The money that's made not only keeps there programs running but it also enhances their quality of life. For bead drop off locations throughout Acadiana visit their website at www.lafayettelarc.org. If you like to buy beads from there store, they are open year round and located in Acadian Village.

Below are other drop-off locations.

St. Thomas more high school, Live Oak elementary, Fatima Elementary, Lafayette Surgical Specialty hospital, Raising Cane's and the Mall of Acadiana are other places you can drop your beads off. The Mall of Acadiana is offering a chance to win a twenty-five dollar mall gift certificate for donors who drop off beads at the customer service desk .
