The St. Landry Parish Government will hold a public meeting next week to discuss a proposed rural road improvement program.
The program would be funded by a two cent rural sales tax which would be collected only in the unincorporated areas of St. Landry Parish.
Officials say the money collected could be used for overlaying roads and related drainage issues.
The meeting will take place April 15, at 6 p.m. at the Sunset Community Center. The center is located at 108 Leo Richard Ln. in Sunset.
