After a week in which he helped lead the LSU Eunice baseball
team to a three-game series sweep, sophomore Adam Angelle has been named the
NJCAA Division II Player of the Week.

Angelle had a spectacular weekend in the Bengals’ sweep over
Panola College, compiling a .571 batting average (8-for-14),
hitting two doubles and a triple in the three victories.

The sophomore drove in seven RBIs on the week, while scoring
five runs of his own.

In 2013, Angelle boasts a .352 batting average with 16 RBIs
for top-ranked LSU-Eunice.

Angelle and the Bengals wrap up the 2013 regular season on
the road this weekend with a three-game set against NCAA opponent Southern
University.  The two teams open the series
with a 6 p.m. game Friday night before a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. on
Saturday afternoon.
