Two juveniles arrested in Broussard school bomb threat

Broussard Police have arrested two juveniles for allegedly making a bomb threat at Broussard Middle School.

On May 2, students were taken off of the school's grounds when administrators were informed there was a message written on a bathroom wall suggesting there was a “pressure-cooker bomb” on the school's campus.

Police say the suspects were ascertained and samples of their writing styles were submitted to an expert who completed a comparative handwriting analysis.

Authorities say one of the suspects wrote the initial message about the bomb and when it was to go off. The other suspect added in the word “pressure cooker”.

The juveniles were charged with communicating of false information of a planned arson.
