Authorities are still working out how to return Wade Lohse to Lafayette, after he walked away last March from his trial on vehicular homicide charges. The 43 year old Youngsville man is accused of causing the June 10th crash that killed 29 year old Cacie Barras McGrew.
Lohse walked out of his trial and fled the state, turning up three weeks later in Philadelphia.
Lafayette Sheriffs Deputies are now working to find an independent contractor to return Lohse to Lafayette instead of the more costly option of sending local authorities to retrieve him.
A final decision has not been made.
