Sales tax for roads on ballot in St. Landry

Several parishes in Acadiana will have items on the ballot for Saturday's special election. Registered voters across 49 parishes including Acadia, Iberia, Jefferson Davis, St. Landry and Lafayette will head to the polls.

Voters in St. Landry will vote on a two percent tax to improve roads in the parish. Additionally, certain parts of St. Landry will vote for the 5th District representative to replace Rodney Alexander.

The polls will open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Voters in line at 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
