On this segment of Brewing Issues, KLFY's Gary Arnold spoke with Baldwin Mayor Wayne Breaux.
Mayor Breaux talked about a new addition to the town that will help to improve fire response time within city limits.
“We have been successful in receiving a state capitol out-leg grant for $1 million. With some additional town and parish monies added, we were able to complete a new fire station here for the town of Baldwin. And we were also able to tie in the new construction into existing school construction for training and meeting rooms.”
The city was able to build the new fire house after acquiring the old Baldwin Elementary school grounds from the St. Mary Parish School Board.
