Abbeville police arrest man for attempted burglary

Update 02/09/15:

Abbeville police are looking for two suspects in the case.

Andrew Granger is wanted on two counts of attempted first degree murder, and aggravated criminal damage to property.

Police are also searching for Jarred Clement. He’s wanted on two counts of principal to attempted first degree murder, and accessory to attempted first degree murder.

If you recall, two men were shot Friday around 6:30 near the intersection of Maude Avenue and Marmont streets.


On the night of 1/27/14, officers were patrolling and observed a subject dressed all in black, pulling on door handles of vehicles. Officers went to check on the subject who then fled on foot.

The officers gave chase and apprehended the subject now known as Andrew Granger of Abbeville.

When Andrew Granger was apprehended, officers observed him throw a gun under a vehicle.

Granger was then arrested for resisting an officer, attempted burglary of a vehicle and illegal carrying of a weapon, possession of a firearm in a school zone.
