The suspect behind the latest Opelousas shooting has been officially charged with murder. Thirty two-year-old Nathaniel McCoy Junior has been charged with 2nd degree murder in Tuesday's fatal shooting on Caddo street.
McCoy was also charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm. The victim, 41-year old Robbie White died at the scene.
According to Opelousas Police Chief Perry Gallow, officers found probable cause for the charges after gathering substantial evidence connecting McCoy to the crime they say is drug related.
