Breaux Bridge police searching for escaped inmate

Arrestee Christopher Paulson, 35, of Breaux Bridge escaped from the Breaux Bridge Police Department around 3:15 p.m., says Breaux Bridge Police officials.

According to authorities, Paulson broke his handcuffs during booking and ran out a side door of the police station.

Latiolais says Paulson was being booked for possession of stolen things and violation of a protective order.

Authorities are describing Paulson as white male, wearing a red t-shirt, black cap and blue jeans. They are saying he is not considered armed or dangerous.
