It took them only 11 minutes for a District 15th Courthouse jury to find 23-year-old Christopher Brown of Opelousas guilty Wednesday of attempted forcible rape.
In 2011, Brown apparently walked into the girls bathroom at the Kaplan Library where he grabbed his 13-year-old female victim from behind and threw her to the ground.
An off duty security guard, heard the girl screaming and ran to help her.
During the trial Brown didn't deny entering the restroom, but denied the intent to rape the teenaged girl.
The conviction carries a three to 40-year sentence. Brown will be sentenced at a later date.
