A missing 12-year-old girl from Kansas was found earlier this evening in north Lafayette parish.
Around 5 p.m. Saturday, the Lafayette Parish sheriff's office received a call from the Wichita, Kansas police about a local connection in the case.
According to the Lafayette parish sheriff's office, Wichita police also mentioned that the girl was in danger and had been missing for at least 24 hours.
After their own brief investigation, detectives searched a house on Lantier road around 8:30 p.m. And found the missing girl.
Officials say she appeared to be unharmed.
Two people were taken in custody Saturday night, where they wait to be questioned.
The little girl will be sent back to Kansas soon.
