The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office was successful in removing approximately $40,000 of synthetic marijuana off of the streets.
St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office Spokesperson Captain Megan Vizena said, “Our Highway Interdiction Team conducted a traffic stop on a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria on Highway 190 near Lawtell. The search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of approximately 968 ten gram packets of 9 different types of synthetic marijuana.”
“The total weight of the seizure is approximately 21.5 pounds. The street value of the marijuana is approximately $40,000. This investigation is still ongoing, therefore, the names of the suspects are being with held at this time,” Vizena added.
