Saturday, voters in Acadia, Iberia, St. Landry, and St. Martin parishes will head to the polls, marking their ballots and making their voices heard. In Acadia parish, voters will determine the fate of a parish wide library proposition. In St. Landry parish there’s a race for the district ten school board seat, along with a property tax proposition.
In St. Martin parish, voters will cast ballots in the race for mayor of St. Martinville as well as a city council seat and a set of four property tax resolutions.
And in Iberia parish there’s a ten year, half cent sales tax proposal that would generate millions of dollars and be used for roads and bridges. Polls open Saturday morning at 7AM and close at 8PM. For a list of voting sites in your area, head to www.geauxvote.com
