A program was held Thursday morning for the elderly citizens of Scott.
Annually, Scott police invite citizens 65 and older of the area, to the police department, for lunch, so that they can get acquainted with the police and the mayor.
They can schedule periodic “check ups” with officers. Meaning officers will call and check on them on a regular basis to make sure they are safe. If the call is not answered, they’ll send an officer to check on them.
If you or a family member would like to join the elderly services program you can contact the Scott Police Department at 237-3715.
