Arrest Made in Opelousas Shooting

St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Deputies have made an arrest stemming from a shooting last month in Opelousas. James Hudson of Opelousas was arrested and charged with principle to attempted second-degree murder.

Police say Hudson was involved in a shooting on Sam Street that sent one man to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police are still looking for the man they believe to be the shooter.

He’s been identified as 31-year-old Tyrone Keith Johnson. Police are asking if you have any information regarding Johnson’s whereabouts, to contact St. Landry Parish Crime Stoppers at 948-TIPS.
