The two suspects accused of murdering Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Allen Bares, Junior last week are now facing additional charges.  Louisiana State Police say 20 year old Quintlyan Richard and 19 year old Baylan Taylor will face additional charges of armed robbery and obstruction of Justice. The two men were already facing charges of first degree murder, unauthorized use of a moveable and burglary.  Bares was shot to death last week when he noticed the suspects behaving suspiciously near where Bares was mowing grass in Abbeville.  He reported them to the Vermilion Sheriff’s Office, and when he walked up to them, identified himself as a law enforcement officer and began questioning them, the two suspects allegedly opened fire, fatally wounding Bares.  Two other suspects are also in custody, accused of helping Richard escape from police.
