The 15th Judicial District Attorney’s Office advises that on Monday, July 14, 2014 Casey Robertson, 27, was sentenced for the conviction of Vehicular Homicide and OWI in the death of Travis Baker of Alabama. According to J. N. Prather, Jr., Assistant District Attorney, the charges stem from an automobile crash on March 15, 2013 at the intersection of Evangeline Thruway and Kaliste Saloom Road. Casey Robertson ran a red light and collided with a vehicle being driven by Travis Baker of Henagar, Alabama. Baker was killed on impact. Robertson’s blood alcohol level was determined to be .20 which is more than twice the legal limit of .08.
Robertson was sentenced to 15 years hard labor with the Louisiana Department of Corrections.
