Local company joins Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 search

A local company has been awarded a new contract to assist with the search for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. Fugro Geo-Services, based in Lafayette, was awarded the contract by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau for the deployment of two specialist vessels for a deep-water search for the missing plane.

Fugro Regional Director Ed Saade says the company has performed many searches on the sea-floor but none on such a big scale as this.

Malaysia airlines flight 370 vanished back on March 8th while carrying 239 passengers.
