Festivals Acadiens acknowledged as one of the best southern cultural festivals

A big honor for one of Acadiana’s biggest and most popular celebrations.  USA Today has named Festival Acadiens et Creoles one of the best southern cultural festivals.

Festivals Acadiens was selected for “honoring one of America’s most unique and compelling regions,” and for the amount of entertainment and activities it fits into three days, including musical performances from the best Cajun and Zydeco performers, and local food such as barbecue boudin, catfish,  and jambalaya prepared by master chefs.

Arts and crafts are also a big part of the event.

Other festivals in the top 10 include the Cherry Blossom Festival in Georgia and the Delta Hot Tamale festival in Mississippi.
