14 people indicted in connection to a meth distribution conspiracy

Fourteen people were indicted by a Lafayette Grand Jury yesterday in connection to a meth distribution conspiracy that spread across Acadiana.

According to the court documents, Elliot Jolet (34) and Anita Desormeaux (42) drove to Texas and purchased meth from Gary Hunt (58) and other sources and then transported them back to Acadiana.

It was then sold or distributed the drugs among the other conspirators.

In addition to the arrest, authorities seized $54,00 dollars’ worth of crystal meth, a vehicle, and several firearms.

Twelve defendants have been arrested, but Everette Dupuis (39) of New Iberia and Jenee Hargrave (29) remains at large.
