LPSS voted to pay over $13,000 in attorney fees

The Lafayette Parish School Board Meeting, members voted unanimously to pay over $13,000 in attorney fees.

Those fees are for services on Dr. Pat Cooper’s lawsuit against three board members.

Cooper made an attempt to stop board president hunter Beasley, and board members Mark Babineaux and Tehmi Chassion from voting in any hearings to fire him.

Cooper alleged they were too biased and would not have been fair in their judgment.
