The ailing fire chief in Jennings is getting some much needed help from his community.
After Jennings Fire Chief Hulin Theriot came home from a ten day stay in the hospital, his fellow firemen decided to help by calling on the community to assist the chief with blood donations. The drive was organized by one of the department’s youngest firefighter, Hunter Crater, who reached out to life share and arranged for the drive to be held at the city’s fire department.
Crader says when he found out the chief was sick he didn’t think twice about lending a hand and asking others to do the same. He also says almost 30 people showed up to donate blood.
If you would like to donate you can do so at any Life Share blood location donation and let the staff know that you would like your donation to go directly to Hulin Theriot.
