NEW ORLEANS – Filmmakers are looking for experienced oil rig workers and men or women with Merchant Marine or Coast Guard experience to work on a film about the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon and the subsequent oil spill into the Gulf of Mexico.
The film will star Mark Wahlberg and reports say that Liam Neeson and possibly Michael Keaton are being sought to co-star.
Central Casting Louisiana said it wants men and women with real oil rig experience and is asking people to apply only if they have worked on an offshore rig or have experience with the Merchant Marine or Coast Guard.
Filming could take place over several months from May to August and may require day and night shooting.
