Toddler injured after random shooting, gunman at large

NEW ORLEANS (AP) – Police in New Orleans are looking for a gunman who fired shots in a neighborhood, injuring a 2-year-old girl. Times-Picayune ( ) reports an unknown man fired two shots Monday evening. Police say the girl was playing outside with other children. Two adults were watching the children at the time.

Investigators say a bullet struck the girl in the leg. A neighbor says she appeared to be OK and wasn’t crying when her family rushed her to the hospital.

Police did not provide an update on the girl’s condition.
