US Marshals Continue Hunt for Quadruple Murder Suspect; possibly in Louisiana

At the one-year anniversary of the tragic death of four Virginia family members, including a toddler, the U.S. Marshals are asking for the public’s help to find a dangerous fugitive. The suspect in the case, Alexander Rosevelt Hill, Jr., aka “Real Deal,” is wanted in Petersburg, Virginia, on four counts of first-degree murder.

During the weekend of Easter 2014, Hill, 48, is accused of killing two family members by assault and then setting the house on fire, killing two others, including a 2-year-old, in Petersburg.

Those killed were Pauline Wilkins, 67, Vicki Chavis-Ansar, 46, Tanique Chavis, 22, and Delvair Chavis, 2. A former girlfriend of Hill’s lived in the home but was not there at the time of the slayings.

Hill fled the Petersburg area shortly after the killings. U.S. Marshals and Petersburg Police detectives have determined that Hill traveled to Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, by taxi just after midnight on April 20, 2014. Later that morning, Hill paid a man to drive him to the Amtrak station in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Since then Hill has fallen off law enforcement’s radar.

Hill has ties to Virginia, Mississippi, Arizona and Texas. Tips have been received indicating that he may have fled to Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, Florida, Maryland, California and New York City. He has brown eyes, but also wears hazel contacts which give him a distinct look. Hill has an infatuation with sex chatlines and a history of meeting older and considerably younger women whom he can control easily. He could be working an under-the-table paying job such as construction or landscaping.

“He could be anywhere in the U.S. at this point in time. We are still actively seeking him and will continue to search until he is apprehended. We are pleading with the public to help us in any way possible,” said U.S. Marshal Robert Mathieson.

Anyone that may have had contact with or seen Hill is asked to contact the U.S. Marshals at 1-877-WANTED-2 (1-877-926-8332). U.S. Marshals are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Hill. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
