Police Memorial Week observed

On Thursday, May 14, 2015, at 6:00 pm, the Lafayette Police Department will host a Police Memorial Day Ceremony at St Barnabas Episcopal Church, located at 400 Camellia Boulevard.  The public is invited to attend the church service.  Relatives of area slain officers will be in attendance along with law enforcement officers representing surrounding agencies.  A police motorcade will depart from the Lafayette Police Department at 5:30 pm and travel to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.  This year the memorial service will honor the memory of 22 Acadiana area law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty dating back to 1926.
