Authorities say when school is out, the city is plagued with an increase in juvenile involved crimes, mostly committed after curfew times.

According to the ordinance, it shall be unlawful for any minor to wander without destination or to travel, loiter, stroll, play, traverse, or remain in or upon any public street, road, highway, avenue, alley, or other public place between 11:00pm and 5:00am, beginning Sunday through Thursday nights, and 12:00am to 5:00am on Saturday and Sunday nights.  Maximum fines for curfew violation is 3 hundred dollars.
