LHS Principal Dr. Patrick Leonard announces retirement

Lafayette High School will soon have a new principal for the first time in more than a decade.

Dr. Patrick Leonard has announced he’ll retire at the end of July. Leonard took over the position in 2003. He started at LHS in 1994 as an Assistant Principal. Before that, he worked as a teacher, coach, and administrator in Jefferson Parish and private schools.

He has 46 years of experience in education.
