3 arrested after shots fired at Ville Platte apartment complex

Ville Platte Police have arrested three people in connection with a shooting incident, last week, at an apartment complex.

According to Ville Platte Police Chief Neal Lartigue, on June 24, 2015 at approximately 10:30 p.m. detectives responded to a report of a shooting in the parking lot of an apartment complex on North Latour Street.  According to the report, multiple males were involved in a verbal altercation before shots were fired striking one male subject in the leg.  Lartigue says the victim was transported to Mercy Regional Medical Center for treatment.

35 yo Sidney Garlow of Opelousas has been arrested and charged with attempted second degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.  Garlow was booked into the Ville Platte City Jail and later transferred to the Evangeline Parish Jail where he remains incarcerated on a $500,000 bond.  35 yo Travis Ardoin of Ville Platte was arrested and charged with principal to attempted second degree murder.  Ardoin was booked into the Ville Platte City Jail and later transferred to the Evangeline Parish Jail where he remains incarcerated on a $300,000 bond.  32 yo Ericke John of Ville Platte was arrested and charged with principal to attempted second degree murder.  John was booked into the Ville Platte City Jail and later transferred to the Evangeline Parish Jail where he remains incarcerated on a $300,000 bond.
