St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Training Academy graduates 14 cadets

The 44thth Session of the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Training Academy held graduation ceremonies at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday morning and fourteen Cadets from eight law enforcement agencies throughout Acadiana completed Basic Law Enforcement Training and are now P.O.S.T (Police Officers Standards of Training) Certified.

During their session, the Cadets received training in areas such as Patrol Activities, Legal Aspects, Officer Survival, Investigations, Use of Force, Traffic Services, Firearms, Domestic & Family Matters, Specialized Activities, Defensive Tactics, etc.

The Cadets who graduated were from the following law enforcement agencies; St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office, Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office, Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office, Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office, Breaux Bridge Police Department, Carencro Police Department, Delcambre Police Department, and Jeanerette Police Department.

TOP PERFORMER IN P.T.:       Trevence Patt—Breaux Bridge P.D.

MOST IMPROVED IN P.T.:       Kevin Le—-Vermilion S.O.

TOP ACADEMIC:                     Jessica DeRouen—–Iberia Parish S.O.

BEST NOTEBOOK:                  Seth Lagrange——-St. Martin S.O.

TOP GUN:                               Michael McQuade—-St. Martin Parish S.O.
