A Lafayette bakery that offers gluten-free, diabetic-friendly and allergen-friendly options will soon be changing its name and concept.

Bibi’s Patisserie announced this weekend through Facebook that it would now be called Mortar & Pestle and would soon be offering full-service breakfast and lunch in addition to pastries.

“We are fixing to come out with a whole new pastry menu and a sit down breakfast and lunch menu as well,” says a post on the shop’s Facebook page signed by owner and chef Hannah (more than likely Bibi’s co-founder Hannah Ellaham). “There are so, so, so many changes to come. We will be announcing the new changes within the next week.”

A call made and message sent to the bakery were not returned Monday.

Bibi’s Patisserie opened in the summer of 2011 at 1312 W. Pinhook Road. It is currently unclear if Mortar & Pestle will remain in the space.

Reve Coffee Roasters, which occupies the space alongside Bibi’s, is planning a move downtown this fall.
