During recent investigations, Crowley Police arrested 6 people on various drug charges. According to Police Chief K.P. Gibson, several investigations in recent months by the Narcotics Unit, and the Police Department led to warrants issued for the six individuals, including one person whom police say was highly intoxicated while going door to door in an attempt to distribute marijuana. Those arrested include:
30 yo Jonathon Arvie of Crowley was arrested after a search of his vehicle led to the recovery of Marijuana and Synthetic Marijuana. Arvie was booked for Possesion with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana.
31 yo Delizah Lavergne of Crowley was arrested and it was discovered that she had 15 grams of Marijuana in his possession during an investigation by officers. Lavergne was been booked for Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana.
30 yo Richard Davis of Crowley was observed by officers in a highly intoxicated stated going door to door. When officers stopped him, it was discovered that he had several outstanding warrants. After being arrested, officers located 10 grams of Marijuana on his possession. Davis was booked on the outstanding warrants and PWITD Marijuana.
48 yo Darwood Walston of Crowley. Police say they attempted to stop Walston and he fled in his vehicle. After a pursuit, K-9 “Uzi” was utilized to apprehend Walston who resisted arrest. Walston was booked for PWITD Schedule I Narcotics, Reckless Operation, Aggravated Flight from an officer and Obstruction of Justice.
46 yo Sherman Griffin of Estherwood and 33 yo George Trahan of Crowley were arrested after it was determined that they were in possession of drug paraphernalia (scales and drug pipes). Police say Trahan was cited and released. Griffin, meanwhile, was booked for the possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal conspiracy.
