Town of Leonville to conduct sewer smoke test August 4 through 7

Please be advised that starting August 4 through August 7, 2015, the Town of Leonville will be conducting a sewer smoke test.

This smoke will reveal sources of sewer odors in your neighborhood, as well as places where storm and other surface waters are entering the sewer system.

This smoke is NON-TOXIC. All residents are advised that if traces of these smoke or its odor enter your house or building, it is an indication that gases and odors from the sewer MAY also enter.

If you see smoke, please investigate to be sure it is not due to a fire. If the smoke you are seeing is due to a fire, please call 911.

The Town of Leonville will begin on August 4, 2015, on the south side of Bayou Teche on Oscar Rivette Road.
