Kandice Broussard has been named an assistant principal at Youngsville Middle and Milton Elementary/Middle Schools.
Broussard received a bachelor’s degree at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and a master’s of education degree from Lamar University. She has been a home economics teacher at Reeves High, a head girl’s basketball and track coach at Kinder Junior High and a physical education teacher at Kinder Elementary.
In Lafayette Parish, Broussard previously was an academic intervention teacher and acting 10th grade administrator at Comeaux High.
Superintendent Donald Aguillard also officially announced the appointments of Lisa Semere as an assistant principal at Paul Breaux Middle, and Rollan Moore as an assistant principal at Lafayette Middle. The appointments were previously included in personnel documents associated with Wednesday’s school board meeting.
Semere received a bachelor’s degree in speech education from UL, and a master’s of educational administration and supervision from the University of Southern Mississippi. She previously taught reading, business and speech at Berwick High, Franklin Junior High and Centerville High.
In Lafayette Parish, Semere has taught reading, speech, drama, debate and English at Northside High. In 2001, she moved to St. Tammany Parish, where she taught business and was the ninth grade academy coordinator. Most recently, Semere was the assistant principal at Boyet Junior High.
Moore most recently was an assistant principal at Alice Boucher Elementary. He received a bachelor’s degree from UL, a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and more than 30 hours of graduate credit in curriculum/gifted education from ULM.
Moore is pursuing his doctorate in educational leadership at UL. He has also worked as an elementary and middle school teacher in St. Landry Parish, and an academic behavior coordinator at Alice Boucher Elementary.
