Wesley Ravenholl Aranza, the son of Jacob and Michelle Aranza, pastors of Our Savior’s Church, Lafayette and Broussard, was killed Friday when a vehicle collided with his motorcycle on Kaliste Saloom Road.

Lafayette Police say Aranza was operating a 2010 Honda Motorcycle and traveling north on Kaliste Saloom Road, when a vehicle drove out of a private driveway and into the path of the motorcycle.  Police say the bike crashed into the driver’s side door of the car.  Aranza was pronounced dead at the scene.  He was 20 years old.  The driver of the vehicle was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.

A visitation will be held at Our Savior’s Church, Lafayette Campus, at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The funeral will immediately follow at 11 a.m. Pastor(s) Eugene Reiszner and Tim Dilena will be officiating the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial contributions be made to Our Savior’s Church Media Department in Wesley Aranza’s honor towards his passion of music and media.
