On Tuesday, the Department of Veterans Affairs made a significant step forward in opening the interim medical clinic in Lake Charles.
“Our veterans should certainly have access to the best medical care possible, and that means the VA needs to prioritize opening these long-overdue clinics,” says U.S. Senator David Vitter. “While I’m glad to see that significant progress is being made at the interim Lake Charles clinic, I will not stop pushing for permanent clinics until all of our Louisiana veterans have access to the medical care they deserve.”
On Monday, the VA signed the lease for 814 W. McNeese Street, Suite 100, in Lake Charles for the clinic. The clinic is expected to open for patient care in December 2015.
