Karen O. Wyble, an Arnaudville native, has been named CEO at St. Martin Hospital, effective Monday.
She most recently served as regional vice president of operations at LHC Group. Previous positions included chief operating officer of Heart Hospital of Lafayette, vice president of cardiovascular for Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Wyble’s other positions include director of cardiology at Lafayette General Medical Center, assistant vice president of nursing, manager of telemetry and intensive care unit.
She replaces Bryan Laperouse, FACHE, who served as Interim CEO of St. Martin.
She earned a bachelor’s in nursing at Loyola University in New Orleans and master’s degrees in healthcare administration and business administration from the University of St. Francis in Joilet, Illinois. She is pursuing a master’s in nursing at Loyola.

“We are thrilled to have someone so experienced to take the lead at St. Martin Hospital,” David L. Callecod, FACHE, president of Lafayette General Health System, said. “We know she’s going to serve that hospital and the people of St. Martin Parish very well.”
She has been married for 33 years to Roy Wyble Jr. They have three sons: Roy III, Lane and Cade.
