Northside High Football Coach Trev Faulk resigns

Trev Faulk has resigned as the head football coach of Northside High School, according to school system spokesperson Sandra Billeaudeau.

However, Faulk has not resigned as an employee of the Lafayette Parish School System. Faulk has been offered a position as a business teacher at Acadiana High School.

Billeaudeau tells KLFY Faulk was offered the position at because of personnel issues at Northside High School.

Faulk played for Lafayette High School, LSU, and several NFL teams including the New Orleans Saints. He was previously the head football coach at Vermillion Catholic High School.

The Northside football team will play the Teurlings Rebels tonight at Rebel Field under the leadership of interim head coach John Simmons.
